The Popular Show Season Four Introduces the Soldiers Group

Ever since the premiere of Campaign 4, new Dungeon Master Brennan Mulligan has maintained audience suspense with deep backstory, a colorful mix of personalities, and a thrilling plot showcasing angels, fiends, and malevolent powers growing in power within the city.

Note: Key plot points for the third episode of the new season are included.

The Warrior Group Unveiled

Episode 3 ended with a dramatic pause and revealed the premier party of characters who will separate from the main group to embark on their independent quest, distinct from the other two tables.

The combat-focused team includes the determined fighter (played by the voice actor), the agile character (the talented performer), the strong-willed figure (Whitney Moore), Wicander (Sam Riegel), and the mysterious adventurer (the actor).

The Reason for Division

Considering an extensive roster, it was evident from the beginning that having everyone at the same party would be impossible.

This explains, the opening chapters of Campaign 4 serve as an Overture, weaving together the individual narratives before dividing into three separate parties: Warriors, Schemers, and Questers.

What Defines the Soldiers Table

Per the DM, the combat-focused party is for adventurers who enjoy a classically intense fight-heavy story mode where diplomatic options are scarce.

At first glance, characters like the hesitant healer Wicander Halovar might look unsuited, but the events of the third episode make it clear why these five characters are ideally matched for the combat party.

Reasons to Leave

To begin with, the group has a clear idea where to proceed after a violent initial meeting with the enemy group.

An old friend of Thjazi Fang—whose death initiated the campaign’s events—exploited the foes for his selfish purposes, entering the hidden lair, assaulting the rogue, and swiping all the powerful objects to auction.

The traitor then settled his obligations and ran away to a Halovar stronghouse in the northern region, above the city, with Cyd Pridesire hot on his heels.

Individual Reasons

Additionally, each adventurer has a individual motive to exit Dol-Makjar:

  • The rogue, as the companion and closest confidant, seeks revenge.
  • The adventurer is familiar with the region and warns that it is a hostile place.
  • Tyranny and The healer, having defied his family’s wishes to eliminate the fighter and instead saved him, have no other options.
  • However, their position as important members in House Halovar could help the team enter locations they usually can’t.
  • Furthermore, Teor vowed a eternal obligation to Wicander for his salvation and will now follow him wherever.

Fugitives

Lastly, all of them are hunted by the rulers that govern the setting for a range of causes, making remaining behind too risky:

  • The rogue and The hero are known criminals.
  • Tyranny and The healer defied House Halovar and the horde of evil beings they are aligned with.
  • The target is marked for death by the family.

This means them few options but to journey toward Timmony in search of the traitor.

Future Episodes

Based on episode three’s follow-up content, we find out that the warrior group won’t be around the following episode, leaving the remaining eight players to round up the Seekers and Schemers groups.

Fans can anticipate learning which adventurers will be where in Campaign 4’s last Overture episode, streaming live on October 24.
