Rugby Football Union Presents Ambitious Roadmap to Boost Women’s Rugby and Build on England’s World Cup Victory

England's rugby governing body has pledged to keeping up progress by introducing a long-term action plan designed to leverage the success of the Red Roses' Women’s Rugby World Cup win.

Key Goals of the Plan

Named Our Time: Every Rose, the plan details several bold targets, including aiming to be the inaugural English squad to achieve consecutive World Cup victories.

Another key aim is to increase involvement to 100,000 female players taking part in rugby across the UK by the end of the decade, currently standing at the present total of sixty thousand.

Economic and Fan Base Ambitions

English rugby’s governing body is also working to double its revenues from the women’s game to sixty million pounds, permitting more funding in grassroots the sport.

Moreover, the initiative features a target of attracting 3m dedicated supporters.

“The pressures have never been greater,” commented a senior official, leading the women's sport division. “The opportunity has never been bigger, but inaction is unacceptable because the progress are now fully in motion.”
