These individuals are exulting in a mass killing that relief organizations believe resulted in the deaths of over two thousand civilians in the African urban center of the Darfur city during October.

A Community Severed from the Outside

Following their control of the city under siege for almost an extended period, from the summer the militia advanced to consolidate its dominance and prevent access for the surviving residents.
