The City of Angels experienced citywide celebrations after the Los Angeles Dodgers won a nail-biting seven-game World Series championship. Fans worldwide joined local residents in celebration, marking the initial time in 25 years that a team has secured back-to-back championships.
Celebration Parade Draws Enormous Turnout
Los Angeles area celebrations included a downtown parade on Monday morning, a reserved-seating event at the team's home stadium, and impromptu gatherings across the city.
Social media videos show thousands of Angelenos flooding downtown streets, many displaying homemade signs and team flags. The squad was seen traveling proudly on a open-top bus through the masses, raising the championship trophy proudly.
“My focus is already about the next championship we’re going to do this,” the star player stated through an interpreter.
The procession path ended at Dodger Stadium, where the team walked out to Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us,” with DJ Mustard spinning music and the artist driving a Pacific blue vintage Cadillac around the field.

Celebrations started prior to the parade, with supporters lighting flares in the streets of the city center on Sunday night.
Yoshinobu Yamamoto, awarded the MVP of the championship, commented plainly about the win.
“Losing is not an option,” Yamamoto said. “I love the Dodgers. I love Los Angeles.”
Mixed Reactions and Community Spirit
However, Mark Walter received a less warm welcome at the celebration. Recordings from the event seem to depict Walter taking the stage to a mix of applause and boos, with jeers punctuating his speech.
The championship served as a bright spot in what has been a trying year for Los Angeles. An estimated 225,000 people attended to the Dodgers’ victory parade last year, and according to team member Freddie Freeman, fans this year demonstrated equal or greater support.
“It seems it’s nearly twice from last year,” he remarked. “These fans are crazy. It’s truly amazing to be a involved in this.”
